Having a hard time mustering empathy or even nostalgia for people who thought it was a good idea to grow water-intensive crops in the desert. Maybe they were just buoyed, by the likes of Floyd Dominy (NPI)...

But, as a purchaser of wholesale produce, and weekly commercial visitor to the Union Square Green Market, I definitely think everybody should spend at least 10 mins thinking about their food genesis, sources, and choices.
