The new parking scheme for Yankee Stadium is getting some attention. The plan has reduced seating but is increasing parking. Not only has the construction gobbled up a city park, but the new parking is going to be built with "triple tax exempt bonds". Every representation I see seems to alter the plan a little, but this one is eye-catching.
My official stance on this is: The full and proper way to attend any baseball game is by train; anything else is a compromise.

Foul balls
During a recent visit to Yankee stadium, Dylan got a little upset that WE didn't catch a foul ball. I tried to explain to him how rare it was, but it was unconvinced. Now I see that someone has calculated a rough estimate that for the average MLB fan there is about a 1 in 1000 chance of catching a foul ball. Wow. No wonder we only got the foam hand, cotton candy, authentic scorecard and program, Carvel baseball cap cups, road jersey, souvenir cup, signed photo of Jose Rios with authenticating hologram, miniature wooden bat, and the Drumstick.com "lite version" of Joe Torre's Virtual Baseball Academy.
