Tennessee MLA

As the Rutgers Department of Landscape Architecture (RULA) pushes ahead with plans to add a graduate program in landscape architecture, it is hard to not peek at other similar efforts. Since there are only around 80 accredited schools (undergrad and grad combined) in the US, each new one stands out and is a little different. This past week there was news that the University of Tennessee- Knoxville is adding an MLA program. I assume that when they got the final approvals for the program they broke out in a rollicking rendition of Rocky Top. But seriously, the announcement means that the state of Tennessee will soon be added to the large list of small states that have more accredited graduate landscape architecture programs than New Jersey.
