Earth from Above

The Big Picture already has some great photographs previewing next year's Earth From Above exhibit that will be at Battery Park City. We'll have more to announce later, but the exhibit of Yann Arthus-Bertrand's photographs will have heavy participation from Rutgers' SEBS.

I like the caption: "In 1991, during the first Gulf War, a million depleted uranium shells were fired at Iraqi forces, spreading toxic, radioactive dust for miles around. Such dust is known to have lasting effects on the environment and to cause various forms of cancer and other serious illnesses among humans."

Frenchie apparently doesn't understand that armor of tanks can't be pierced with artillery shells made of fair-trade sustainable forested lumber.
